Such a moving account. Thank you for sharing this. Your dog Kira seemed like such a lovely soul and she was lucky to have you as an owner. It seems both of you will always remember the love you shared with each other. That is all we really have in this life.

Hi Autumn. Yes, I am with you about all we really have in life is the love we share! You get it perfectly. I feel Kira was this beautiful furry comet streaking through my life. We blessed one another. I also felt she owned me as much as I owned her.

Ohhhhh!! As someone who was privileged to take Kira for many walks over the years I am very moved by this!! You've captured her soul. She was a very special dog. I am so happy her human was able to capture this!! xoxo

Thank you, dear Joy. I think my hope was that this could be out there and I wouldn't have to tell and tell the story over.

Thanks, Mark. In some ways I feel that Kira was the star of the show! I see people on Pender who're on my mailing list and often their first question is, "How's Kira?" Appreciate the hug and sending one back.

Thank you for this Zoe. We inherited our son’s dog, Dolly, last year. I am not one to really like dogs but I have to confess I love Dolly. With her in mind I read your story with understanding! Dolly’s presence has transformed my attitude to dogs and their owners.

Thanks, Jo. You're right, it's an interesting relationship and non-dog people often don't get it all. How nice is it to hear that you have grown to love Dolly.
